NATIONAL RIGHT TO LIFE CONGRATULATES ARCHBISHOP JOSEPH NAUMANN
Kansas City, Kansas Archbishop Elected to Head of Bishops’ Pro-Life Committee

WASHINGTON – The National Right to Life Committee (NRLC), the federation of state right-to-life affiliates and over 3,000 local chapters, today congratulated Archbishop Joseph Naumann of the Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas on his election as the chairman of the USCCB’s Committee on Pro-Life Activities.

The following may be attributed to Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life:

Dating back to his days in St. Louis, Archbishop Joseph Naumann has long been a friend to the right-to-life movement, and to National Right to Life, and has been an outspoken pro-life leader in the public square. His election to head the USCCB’s pro-life efforts speaks to the importance the bishops place on keeping the life issues at the forefront of our national dialogue. There is no doubt in my mind that Archbishop Naumann will serve as a tremendous and powerful voice on behalf of the unborn and their mothers, the elderly, and the medically dependent and disabled.

Founded in 1968, the National Right to Life Committee (NRLC), the federation of 50 state right-to-life affiliates and more than 3,000 local chapters, is the nation's oldest and largest grassroots pro-life organization. Recognized as the flagship of the pro-life movement, NRLC works through legislation and education to protect innocent human life from abortion, infanticide, assisted suicide and euthanasia.
